Smallmouth Bass

My first experience with fishing was in the early 80’s with my father fishing for trout on the Clyde River, Shelburne County. In my teenage years my step brothers and I enjoyed canoeing the Roseway River fishing for trout, looking for turtles and really just enjoying the outdoors. It wasn’t until 2017 though that my true passion for fishing really grew when I met my wife and began bass fishing with her son. The time together and the bonding quickly turned from shore fishing, to purchasing a canoe then upgrading to a 18’ bass boat. Recreational fishing turned into tournament fishing and starting in 2018 it was clear I was hooked. Fishing also reunited me with an old high school friend. We began fishing together and doing tournaments together. I have made many friends in the fishing community and in 2020 took my fishing guides course and became a member of the Nova Scotia Guides Association. Currently I continue to recreational fish with family and friends and am still active in the tournament scene. I started “Get Hooked South Shore Guide Service” in 2020 with the hopes that I could provide a means for those to get out on the water, share memories and grow a passion for fishing as I did.
