Always Angling Charters

I know what the customer wants: A safe “put me on the fish” personable captain that wants to provide those memories that I have been fortunate to enjoy myself. In addition to fishing my whole life, I spent 2 years working with a prior Hilton Head and Savannah 15-year charter fisherman who sold me his 8K+ fishing holes stretching from Northern South Carolina to the Gulf of Mexico. Owning my 5th boat between 18-30’ since 1992, I have been approved by the U.S. Coast Guard that my tested knowledge certifies me as a U.S.C.G. Master Captain. I evaluated ALL offshore fishing boats available, including visiting several factory production floors, before closing my Robalo to deliver my guests the best performance, comfortable ride, safety, and most importantly a dry ride with added side panel curtains. Investments in an 8-person top of the line Viking liferaft, EPIRB (emergency tracking beacon), premium fishing equipment and boat amenities were made to service you, my clientele. I have chosen Skull Creek Marina due to its amenities and most importantly its location! Located just off the Intracoastal Waterway, it is the closest deep water access to both Port Royal Sound (Inshore), the Atlantic Ocean (Near Offshore) trip. I felt your time is best spent fishing rather than traveling up to 30 minutes through no-wake zones each way. Always Angling Charters is a full-service charter that will provide lunch for you on the boat from the menu provided on the “Charter Trips Rates” page. I provide the best restaurant recommendations that I feel deliver the best “ Cook Your Catch” offerings on their menus. I also provide some of the best fish preparations I have found to make some of the most delicious “Ocean to Table” meals and memories for your family. My focus will be on your needs while providing the flexibility of tailored charters in a family-friendly environment. Your goals are my goals in providing memorable family experiences while putting fish on the deck. If you give me the opportunity, I will work harder than most, making multiple moves on my faster boat to ensure I exceed your expectations.

Coming from a U.S Navy family, I was first introduced to Hilton Head in 1995 when my father retired as a then Police Sergeant from Ohio. Raised fishing Lake Erie religiously, being on the water is first nature. It took only a few trips fishing, shrimping, clamming, and just enjoying the southern hospitality to fall in love with South Carolina’s Low Country. While I spent 24 years building a very successful white collar career in selling Sporting Goods and Toy consumer products to mass retail, my relaxation time was spent in Hilton Head and traveling the world fishing from Hawaii to the Caribbean and everything in between. I have been very blessed in my career learning to offer the best value services while enjoying the ride. Having lost my father and father-in-law at early ages, I set a goal in 2001 to follow my dream of being a charter captain in Hilton Head, SC.
