Blue Walleye Outpost Hunting and Fishing

Welcome to Blue Walleye Outpost As the new owners of BWO we purchased the outpost in the Spring of 2022 and have taken the season to do some much-needed maintenance and repairs to the camp also to prepare for our first full season hunt in 2023. Since there were no hunts done during the pandemic, we used this season to work with our guides and learn more about our bears likes and dislikes. Our guides have many years of experience successfully hunting black bears and guiding successful hunters out of Blue Walleye Outpost. Our guides are very knowledgeable about black bears and their habits in this region. They enjoy hunting many species throughout North America, but in May and June their focus is on the black bears that roam the boreal forest of Abitibi-Temiscamingue. Our guides are enthusiastic about the 2023 spring season. In their words "We are infested with bears" The region we hunt is in the heart of Zone 13 East, which continues to have the highest number of bears harvested in Quebec. The extremely high number of bears per square kilometer is a key factor in our hunter's success. Traditionally more than 90% of our hunters have an opportunity to harvest a bear. Our 3 fully furnished cabins have flushing toilets, running water, bunk beds, propane fridges and cook stoves. You will need to purchase you fishing/hunting license PRIOR to arrival at camp. (Licenses MUST be purchased before leaving Senneterre, QC) You need to bring with you: fishing rods, fish finder, worms, hunting gear, bedding (sleeping bags, pillows, etc.), Food, drinking water and beverages. DON'T forget your camera and the Bug Spray!!! Senneterre, QC is your last stop for supplies, before heading to the outpost. The new owners of Blue Walleye Outpost, want to thank you for your interest in our Adventure. We welcome all new clients and the many former clients to share in our experience as the Shea brothers have done for many years in the past.
