Galapagos Heavy Tackle experience

Free cancellation
In the Galapagos Islands, the numerous underwater seamounts and confluence of three major marine currents creates the perfect habitat for a variety game fish. Black, blue, and striped Marlin are common visitors to the Galapagos underwater sea mounts all year round; however, the best months of the year for fishing are from December to April when the seas are calm and warm. Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi and Amber Jack can be fished any time of the year. The hunt for these majestic fish starts with an early departure from Santa Cruz or San Cristobal. With an estimated sailing time of one to three hours heading to the prime location of seamounts. We will return to the port, either in Santa Cruz or San Cristobal, late in the day. If you are a true heavy tackle enthusiast, we recommend dividing the experience into five to seven days combined with land visits on each port and visiting any of the seamounts locations.
