Grew up on the shores of Lake Erie and remember the times when mom would drop us off at the state park and we would just fish all day. Those simple fishing expeditions are the backbone of why I love to fish. Now, I do find it a great escape from the real world; out on open water, quite, hunting down some nice fish and the tug on the line. Most fish that hit the deck in the boat go in the cooler so it is nice to watch them swim away too.
