Boat Specs

BlackH2oDog

BlackH2oDog is fully packed with amenities, the 242 Scout Abaco is the boat you’ll love spending the day on! BlachH2oDog is an express style boat built by Scout and powered by Yamaha. The Scout is rough-water-hungry with its deep-V hull design and enhanced bow flare that is designed to keep things smooth and dry. The fully enclosed helm with a full wrap-around windshield and Eisenglass enclosure provide protection from wind and rain as well as providing a shade break from the hot summer sun. The entire cockpit, gunwales and foredeck are finished in a diamond nonskid finish, so footing is secure even when wet. Below deck, the cabin offers a private V-berth. We are fitted with Raymarine electronics with multiple Multi-Functional Displays for depth, fish sonar and GPS charts. We also run a 24-mile Radar for those time when weather conditions limit our visibility. We also operate with multiple VHF radios to monitor local conditions. We also carry a Personal Locator Beacon on board. It’s perfect for getting to the best fishing sites, and the aft deck allows plenty of space to make your fishing experience a great one!

My fishing started a a very early age with my father and grandfather. If it swam I wanted to catch it and I spent my childhood fishing in big water and the smallest of ponds. Eventually my father and I focused on Lake Erie. I loved it so much I moved from Central Ohio to the Shores of Lake Erie. My father an I fished club Walleye tournaments. Electronics were simple, chart plotters were not yet in play and we used actual charts and Loran C to mark our spots. My network expanded and I was first mating on 6 pack charters in the Western Basin of Lake Erie. Casting was the primary method of catching a limit of Walleye. I have been fishing the Islands for over 35 years. Spent several years on the Lake Erie Walleye Trail tournament series. Great experience in fishing for Walleye in all types of conditions. I now find myself enjoying sharing the awesome resource that Lake Erie offers. I love teaching people what I have learned and helping others land their best – or their first – fish and hopefully allow them to have as much fun as possible doing so. My charter caters to anglers of all levels, so you can enjoy a fun day on the water and create lasting memories with your family!
