Come and experience this world class, bucket list fly fishery! The Stewiacke River is the spawning grounds for 2 major populations of striped bass here in Nova Scotia. Beginning in late May to mid/late June, stripers will enter the river by the thousands to spawn. Swings flies over thousands of large striped and enjoy the spectacle of the striper spawn. The Stewiacke River is a tidal river fed by the Bay of Fundy’s tides which are the largest in the world. You will experience the river level rise 20-30 feet making this a truly unique fishery and experience that can only be found here in Nova Scotia. If you enjoy catching stripers on the fly, this is should be on your bucket list! I can also accommodate traditional spinning gear for those that do not fly fish.

From May 10 to June 10 the Stewiacke River is catch and release only. On June 11 you are once again able to retain one fish measuring 27 or more inches.
