Trout Fishing in Santa Cruz province

The Estancia is located besides the shore of the legendary Strobel lake, the 79.000 acres property encompasses numerous rich freshwater which high population of rainbow trout, environment conditions are excellent to develop powerful Giant rainbows trout’s with incredible sizes and weights, the angler may expect a trout of 12 pounds average reaching 20 pounds weight living a unique worldwide fishing experience. Strobel lake is located in the western half of central Santa Cruz province, itself has an a water extension of about 25 square miles, has a volcanic origin and mainly fed by the waters of the Barrancoso river, its only tributary, this river cross the property from west to east with over a length of about 23 km. In addition the area has numerous prehistoric petroglyphs and rock engravings that date back to 9000 years ago. The fishing areas on the big lake include bays with deep drop-offs, bays with underwater vegetation as well as rocky bays, necessitating the use of different density fly lines and flies, depending on the season and prevailing weather conditions. Concerning Fishing tackle for the Strobel Lake recommend 8 weight rod with several different lines. Tommy Wenckheim Safaris & Adventures Ltd requires a 40% deposit to secure a reservation. Full payment is required for trips planned less than 60 days before the scheduled trip date. The acceptable payment option is a wire transfer. All prices are in US Dollars. The deposit and remaining balance are non-refundable if the person decides to cancel the trip. In addition our company reserves the right to change the venue/s booked with deposit in this itinerary due to factors out of our control such as, such as acts of God, war, serious illness, threats and/or acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, inclement weather, flight cancellations, flight delays, denied entry into the country. In said unforeseen event, the company will made the arrangements to accommodate guests in a venue of equal quality lodging, service and fishing at no additional cost to group. Please note if client does not accept the “change of venue” option, that any payments made are non refundable and may not be credited to another person or for a future trip. Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
Upon arrival to Calafate city local airport our representative will meet you and transfer to the Lodge, we drive about 5 hours in four-wheel drive vehicles to get to the lodge.

Book with 40% deposit

Once the fishing guide confirms your trip, your credit card will be charged with a 40% deposit to guarantee the reservation.

Pay remaining balance to the manager
