Lake Michigan Salmon and Trout Fishing

WELCOME TO KINN’S SPORT FISHING We fish three ports, providing you with the best fishing experience Lake Michigan has to offer. Whether it’s fishing Coho salmon in the spring from Winthrop Harbor, Door County walleyes from Little Sturgeon Bay, or fishing king salmon/rainbow trout from our home port Algoma, we find optimal locations throughout the calendar year. Our fleet consists of ten large well equipped boats. The US Coast Guard-certified captains at Kinn’s Sport Fishing have over 200 years combined fishing experience on Lake Michigan! This is simply unheard of in our industry and is something that can’t be duplicated on any level. Our network of full-time boats work together and can cover more water than the part-time operators, giving you a higher chance at a successful Lake Michigan fishing experience. We own and operate 12 beautiful condos at our Algoma location. These luxurious units are available to our clients exclusively, for an upgrade during our spring walleye or summer/fall salmon fishing season. They’re true 2-3 large bedroom condominiums, not glorified apartments or small outdated homes disguised as “condo”. We built 2 new units in 2020 at Harbor View, and our Harbor Walk condos are currently undergoing renovations that will be completed spring of 2022. All units are fully furnished and are professionally cleaned and sanitized after every stay. When staying in Kewaunee or Door County, look no further than Harbor Walk/Harbor View condominiums. In these times of uncertainty, we offer a safe, secure getaway. Being a short drive from anywhere in the Midwest you can leave the chaos, mandates, airport delays, closed borders etc., and come enjoy our small community to its fullest. Wineries, quaint shopping, fantastic restaurants/bars, scenic shorelines, beaches, live music, festivals, and friendly hospitality are just a few of the things that Kewaunee and Door County have to offer. We look forward to seeing you on the water in 2022!!

Operator since 1969
Kinn’s Sport Fishing is locally owned and run by Captain Troy Mattson and Captain Bret Cook. Our company was founded in Algoma, Wisconsin in 1969 by the late Howard Kinn. The company was the first in the industry to begin offering Lake Michigan fishing packages that included salmon fishing trips, lodging, and licenses. Our goal is to share our love of salmon fishing, top notch charter boats, deluxe lodging accommodations, good equipment, and experienced captains with our customers. The company’s enthusiasm and commitment to fishing and their customers has continued to keep the business successful for over 40 years. Kinn’s Sport Fishing has evolved into Wisconsin’s premiere charter fishing destination. Howard passed in 2011 and inspired the long time business partners, Troy and Bret to continue the high quality legacy. Kinn’s Sport Fishing continues to offer the same high standards and commitment to excellence that the company has stood for since 1969. Kinn’s Sport fishing offers eleven large charter boats, experienced captains, and deluxe lodging accommodations—-we have built this business for YOU!
