BGS South Fishing Adventures

My first time in the Florida Keys was some 40 years ago, in 1975. Skeletons of old bridges that a couple buddies and me traveled still loom off one side or the other of the New Bridges. They connect the Keys and end at Key West, the Southern Most Point in the United States. I didn’t have the same appreciation for The Keys back then as I have today. The water & water sports like snorkeling and kayaking, the tropical beauty, the smells, warm breezes, great food (and drink), the music, the laid back atmosphere, and best of all “The Saltwater Fishing”. Not to mention, we’re able to enjoy it all in the good ol’ USA without the hassle of international travel… I’ve fished on Charters, with friends and acquired my own boat(s) where we head Out Front (The Ocean Side) or Out Back (The Gulf Side) for some of the best Saltwater Fishing anywhere on the planet. We target numerous species, like Cobia, Permit, Trout, Snappers, Grouper, Hogfish, Sharks, Mackerel, Dolphin (Mahi), and Porgies, just to name a few. After sharing Florida Keys Experiences with Friends and Clients that have fished & hunted with me the past thirty plus years with Stillwater Outfitters and Beamers Guide Service, it was obvious there’s a lot of passion and interest for what The Keys have to offer. So with the Help & Support of my Kansas, Nebraska, Florida Keys Partner, Girl and Best Friend Sandi “The Queen” Kasson, we decided to set up a Charter Fishing Service based on Big Pine Key, Florida… & With my newly acquired Captains License, We Are Good To Go! You can go on walks, kayak, snorkel, scuba dive, ride bikes, or take in some of the many attractions up and down The Keys like Hemmingway House, Turtle Rescue, Dry Tortugas, Sunset Cruses, Keys West Night Life, etc.… OR You Can Fish !!! … January / March … June & October. One or Two Person Charters … (Bait and Tackle Included). We’re happy to adjust times if necessary and will reschedule if the weather is bad. You won’t miss out on an action-packed day on the water. For more information, contact us at: 303-919-3899 or Mark@BeamersGuideService.com Anglers are welcome to bring their own tackle, however, high quality gear from Penn, Shimano, etc., is provided as well as bait and ice. Captain has the final say on weather. Some days the weather is not ideal for the scheduled trip, but good for another type of fishing. My goal is to provide the most enjoyable day on the water possible. If the Charter is Canceled by the captain, there’s no charge. Things to Bring: Hat, Sunscreen, non-marking shoes, drinks and food, and a good pair of sunglasses…(Please Do Not bring Spray Sunblock) Gratuity is not mandatory but is always appreciated !!! Lodging: BGS South Saltwater Adventures is based on and departs from Big Pine Key, FL in The Lower Keys. I’m just a short drive from Marathon and Key West. A couple lodging options: Parmers Resort: (305) 872-2157 www.parmersresort.com or Walkabout Retreats (305) 745-4030 www.walkaboutretreat.com
